IMAGE CLIP™ for Ink Jet Heat Transfer Papers are designed for garment decoration using an ink jet printer. There is no background “polymer window”. The background polymer is removed before transfer using a laser printed “negative image” on plain paper. Negative images can be created in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, etc.
Print Instructions
Create an ink jet Image as a mirror image and print with an ink jet printer onto the IMAGE CLIP™ for Inkjet Heat Transfer Paper. Create a laser negative using;
Adobe Photoshop
: Rotate the image back to the un-mirrored version. Click the wand on the background; then, in the “select” menu, choose “similar”. All the background should now be selected. In the “edit” menu, choose “fill”, and then choose black in the “contents box”. The background should now be black. In the “select” menu, choose “inverse” to highlight the image area. In the “edit” menu, choose” fill” and then choose white from the “contents box.” The background should be black and the image should all be white. Print this negative image on plain paper with a laser printer.
Transfer Instructions
Step 1- Align the printed side of the negative (in registration) against the printed side of the IMAGE CLIP™ for Inkjet Heat Transfer Paper. Use a heat press at 225⁰F for 30 seconds with firm pressure to press the papers together. Cool before separating the papers. Trim any un-weeded areas. (The weeding is done only in the areas covered by the black negative.)
Step 2- Transfer the weeded image to your garment using a heat press for 30 seconds at 375⁰F and firm pressure. Remove the paper after cooling. For a softer feel, re-heat the transfer and stretch its while still warm.
Wash Instructions
Turn garment inside out and wash in cold water using a mild detergent. Do not use bleach. Dry on low heat setting,immediately after washing. Do not iron directly on the transferred area.
Storage and Handling

Store IMAGE CLIP™ for Ink Jet Heat Transfer Papers in a cool, dry area and do not remove from carton or poly bag until you are ready to use.
Important notes;
Hand ironing is not recommended. Suitable for all ink jet printers. Designed for use on white or light color fabrics. Since the negative is printed on regular bond or copier paper, almost any laser copier or printer capable of producing a very dark image will work. We thoroughly test each of our products on various substrates using different transfer equipment. However, it is impossible for us to duplicate all variables using all substrates and transfer equipment. Therefore, it is essential that you test the paper prior to production using your equipment, methods, and substrate material. Heat presses vary in accuracy. Conduct tests to determine the best time and temperature to use with your equipment. The Seller�s and Manufacturer�s maximum obligation shall be to replace any paper that has proven to be defective. Neither the Seller nor the Manufacturer shall be liable for any injury, direct or consequential, arising out of the use of, or inability to use this paper.
